1. Free financial health check

The initial consultation is free of charge and takes up to an hour. In order to make the most of this time, please being along as much information about your current financial situation as you can. It helps if you have a clear idea of what your aims and objectives are but it’s certainly not essential. Don't be embarrassed to ask questions, that’s what we are here for. It’s important that you get along with your adviser, especially as you will be sharing personal information, so this is your chance to establish if you like us.

2. Gathering information about your current financial products

To ensure we get to know you and fully understand your situation, we will carry out a full 'fact find ' , which enables us to present you with our recommendations where improvements need to be made. In addition to establishing your objectives for the future, we like to ensure that we understand what matters to you personally, such as whether you are interested in any particular areas such as certain types of investments. We’ll also need to know about your income, your mortgage, your insurance cover, your debts, your pension and your savings.

3. Full written report

We will write up a report detailing what was discussed at the meeting, along with our recommendations and in many cases, some specific product suggestions. It is entirely up to you if you wish to proceed.

4. Acting on your behalf

If you wish to proceed we will put the arrangements in place on your behalf and ensure that all the T’s are crossed, the I’s dotted and that you’re kept updated throughout the process until everything is in place. We’ll then make sure you have all the necessary documentation and schedule a review of the product at the right time.

5. Review and monitor

We will conduct regular reviews to ensure you meet your goals and objectives. The frequency of the reviews (for instance 6 or 12 monthly) will be agreed with your financial planner at outset. Your circumstances will also dictate when you need to arrange a review. Certain things will have an influence on your financial situation, and require you make some changes. Perhaps you’ve recently changed jobs, got married, had a baby, moved home, had children fly the nest or are approaching your retirement, all these actions can have a bearing on your financial circumstances and we can help you to identify the areas that you need focus on. After each meeting that we have with you, a report will be produced to cover the progress of the planning.
